SCDT GR86
A Toyota GR86 tears through the drift paddock like a golden bullet, wrapped in blazing neon strokes and graffiti tags that scream “Solo Curve di Traverso” with every sideways slide.
Context & Signature Edge
Commissioned by Solo Curve di Traverso, Italy’s premier drift school, the SCDT GR86 livery blends JDM purity with urban street art energy. Designed by FRD as part of a broader brand strategy partnership, its high-gloss black base explodes into metallic gold motion streaks, overlaid by bold white graffiti lettering. The result is a daily drift car that looks born to hunt apexes under stadium lights and dominate social feeds worldwide.

Behind the Curtain
1. Key Players
Solo Curve di Traverso needed a visual identity that matched their status as Italy’s leading drift academy. FRD answered with a concept combining motorsport aggression and street-inspired lettering to make their GR86 instantly recognisable on track and online.
2. Craft Process
Vector sketches in Illustrator, golden motion streaks and graffiti tags layered in Photoshop, and final lighting tests in Blender ensured the wrap flowed seamlessly along the GR86’s lines. Printed in high-gloss vinyl, the design was installed with millimetric precision to maintain clarity even in drift smoke.
3. Impact (On the Road, Events, Media)
Since launch, the GR86 livery has doubled SCDT’s social media engagement, becoming the school’s flagship promotional asset. Students and spectators alike gravitate to its gold-on-black intensity, turning every drift session into an unmissable visual show.
